Artists in Action is an artist residency program at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute. I have been a resident artist there several times. In 2019 and 2022, I set up my studio within the main gallery space. And in 2021 and 2023, I painted outdoors. Artists in Action is a wonderful opportunity to talk with visitors of all ages, to teach workshops, to engage with other artists, to experiment with materials and techniques, and to explore new ideas. I am grateful to Annmarie Garden for repeatedly trusting me with this opportunity.
