Lacawac Artists' Residency

In 2019, I had the privilege of working in the pristine natural beauty of the Poconos at the Lacawac Sanctuary & Biological Field Station, in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, as an artist in residence. My studio was the historic Coachman's House. I made nocturnes (nighttime paintings) using my daytime source photos and direct observations of the night. I painted outdoors, especially on the shore of the lake. I was fascinated by the reflections in the windows. And I created a series of landscape collages inspired by the hikes with my family there.
